José Luis

José Luis Cedeño is a professional with a well-recognized track record in the planning and execution of public relations, corporate communications and business plan development. He has a well-rounded experience of over 12 years in areas of brand image, internal communications, ghost writing, special events, customer service, media and government relations and crisis management.

Cedeño’s career began as Public Relations Coordinator for the Ana G. Méndez University System (AGMUS) in San Juan. He was later appointed Public Relations Director for the central administration of the institution and was responsible for implementing communications and public relations strategies in support of the Presidency.

Cedeño went on to the public relations firms’ arena where he was key in developing CSR programs for Lexus ("Lexus con las Artes") and Toyota de Puerto Rico ("Fundación Toyota"); and in the below-the-line segment worked with clients such as Ford Puerto Rico, Empresas Fonalledas (Plaza Las Américas, Plaza del Caribe and Tres Monjitas), Méndez & Co., and Kraft Foods, among others.

Prior to joining Forculus Strategic Communications, Cedeño served as Manager of Special Events and Sales for the Puerto Rico Museum of Art, where he worked closely with the development department to increase the revenues needed to operate this non-profit institution. This included the production for four years in a row of the Museum’s annual gala, one of the most important fundraising events in Puerto Rico.

At Forculus, Cedeño has been the point man in charge of planning and executing the firm’s community outreach efforts on behalf of Pattern Energy’s Finca de Viento Santa Isabel to guarantee a strong base of grassroots support for the successful development,
